About Us

On June 6 2005 13-yr-old Gerad was tragically killed. After a period of time his family and a few friends decided to carry on the spirit of caring and giving to others that had always been important to Gerad during his short life. What began as a one day charity motorcycle poker run to raise money to help pay for a child's kidney transplant in 2006 in Gerad's memory led to the official organization of the Gerad Maggard Memorial Children's Charities Inc as a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping ill, injured, or disabled children.

Our Purpose

G.M.M.C.C. 's sole purpose is to help seriously ill, injured, or disabled children. We are a federally recognized, 501c3 public charity which depends entirely on public  donations and the primarily motorcycle-oriented charity events that we do throughout the year. Donations to G.M.M.C.C. ARE tax-deductible

G.M.M.C.C. is all-volunteer with no officer, board member or member being paid any wage or salary at any time for any reason.  Each member does what they do entirely out of a desire to help children suffering from injury, illness or disability, mental or physical. Founded by a small group of friends that rode motorcycles together in memory of the late 13-yr-old Gerad Maggard (Nov 8 1991 - June 5th 2005), and has grown to include members that do not ride, from all walks of life.

G.M.M.C.C. Inc. has raised and donated thousands of dollars to individual children to aid with expenses related to such things as kidney transplants, cancer treatment, beds for special needs children for their home, surgery to correct birth defects, autistic children, and children with genetic disorders, as well as to medical facilities that provide low-cost or no-cost care for these children.

We document and verify individual children's medical conditions to be sure that the need is real and legitimate so you can be sure that the funds from any charity event we do for an individual child are needed by the child and his/her family, and well spent to help deal with the child's condition.

If you feel as we do that no child should be denied the medical care he or she needs due to a family's being either under insured, having no insurance, or unable to pay the co-pays involved with a child's medical condition, or facing bankruptcy in a desperate attempt to do so, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to G.M.M.C.C. Inc.

Our Volunteers

G.M.M.C.C. Inc is a totally volunteer organization. No officer or board member is paid a salary or wage. The work of setting up and running the charity events we organize is done by dedicated volunteers who give of themselves to accomplish our goals. In this way every penny donated to G.M.M.C.C. goes directly to accomplishing our mission of helping children.
